How old were you when you learned to tell time? How long did it take you to learn?

The world’s high schools are full of teens who can’t answer those two questions. They never learned to read a clock.

UK Teens Can’t Tell Time

Being educated by “educators” is a serious disadvantage. When I was in second grade they thought I was stupid because I couldn’t read the blackboard. The reason I couldn’t read it was that I was growing near-sighted and my seat was toward the back of the classroom. I didn’t complain because I was just seven years old and didn’t realize that I had a problem that could be fixed.

I got “smart” very soon after getting my first pair of glasses.

Taking their equivalent of the SATs, British high school students have complained that they can’t read the clock on the wall to see how much time they’ve got to finish: and that’s because many of them can’t tell time (https://fellowshipoftheminds.com/2018/04/27/uk-is-toast-ranks-poorly-for-press-freedom-schools-remove-analogue-clocks-because-teens-cant-tell-the-time/).

Rather than teach these college-bound teenagers how to tell time on a regular analog clock, the geniuses in charge of the UK’s education system had decided that they have to get rid of the big hand-little hand clocks and replace them with digital clocks. Ka-ching, ka-ching! That’s your school tax going up!

How hard would it be to teach a 16-year-old how to tell time? Teachers just not up to it?

There are more than enough horror stories in the news today to go around.
