For high school use only

How old were you when you learned to tell time? How long did it take you to learn?

The world’s high schools are full of teens who can’t answer those two questions. They never learned to read a clock.

UK Teens Can’t Tell Time

Being educated by “educators” is a serious disadvantage. When I was in second grade they thought I was stupid because I couldn’t read the blackboard. The reason I couldn’t read it was that I was growing near-sighted and my seat was toward the back of the classroom. I didn’t complain because I was just seven years old and didn’t realize that I had a problem that could be fixed.

I got “smart” very soon after getting my first pair of glasses.

Gee, how can you keep failing schools from shutting down?

The answer is obvious: lower the standards!

When is an “F” not an “F”?

North Carolina was confronted by a problem: “Damn! Too many of our public schools are failing!” What to do? Well, no sense riling the teachers’ unions. Just change the definition of failure! The “F” mark used to be “60”; so they lowered it to “39”.

What happens when it gets down to “0”?

Science Shocker: IQ Levels Falling

Image result for images of stupidity

I’m back from the laundry, I’ve sent out my Newswithviews column… and throughout the Western world, we are told, IQ levels are falling. I do not mean to imply a correlation. It’s not my fault, honest.

A study by Norwegian scientists reports that IQ levels have been falling consistently since 1975 (http://www.theweek.co.uk/94224/why-iq-levels-are-falling). Uh-oh. But it’s not just Norway. In the UK, remarks one scientist, “What 25% [of science and math students] could do in 1994, now only 5% can do.”

Is it okay for us to say “We told you so”?

They don’t know why people are getting dumber, maybe the tests are at fault, they hope, or maybe it’s smart phones and video games and other high-tech gizmos “hindering the development of young people.”

Have any of these folks had a look at our schools and colleges, our movies and TV, lately? Consume enough “education” and “entertainment,” and you’re probably lucky if you have any IQ at all. How smart are you going to get, wallowing in Gender Studies? Watching movies based on freakin’ comic books? Reading (if that’s the word for it) “graphic novels” instead of real books? That is, if you’re reading anything at all.
