‘We’ll Work Till Jesus Comes’

Wow! This hymn hit me where I feel it–We’ll Work Till Jesus Comes, sung by Doc Watson. I’d never heard it before just now: brought a tear to my eye.

I don’t know if the picture will come out… a sunlit woodland path… and you might meet saints along the way.

‘We’ll Work Till Jesus Comes’

We’ll Work Till Jesus Comes–well, yeah, that’s exactly what we’re supposed to do! We want to hear Him say, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant.” Don’t bury the talent in the ground.

Written by Elizabeth Mills in 1829, sung by Nathan and Lyle–I’d never heard this hymn till yesterday.

‘We’ll Work Till Jesus Comes’

I’d never heard this hymn before, but it does express my sentiments: We’ll Work Till Jesus Comes, sung by Nathan and Lyle. That is, after all, what He commanded: “Occupy until I come” (Luke 19:13).
