By Request, ‘Whispering Hope’

(So that’s what this hymn is called! I hear it played on church bells now and then.)

Requested by Erlene, Whispering Hope, sung by Tennessee Ernie Ford. What a voice he had! And I feel better for having heard it.

Requested by Janet, Whispering Hope. I hope you like the way Jim Reeves sings it.

I still haven’t caught up to the hour we lost to daylight savings time: that’s why I’m late.

We have two requests today, so we’ll have another hymn for you in a little while.

By Request, ‘Whispering Hope’

Suggested by Erlene: Whispering Hope, by Jim Reeves (what a mellow voice he had!). And it’s so infernally hot here today, I kind of love the snow imagery.

Y’know, some of you have been here for years without ever requesting a hymn. You know I wind up repeating myself, when the hymn choice is all left up to me.

If you’re new–well, we post one or two hymns every day, you can request as many as you please, and if you have a hymn you’d like to share, just “Leave a Reply” or comment anywhere, and we’ll do the rest.

Erlene thought this would be good for us–Whispering Hope, by Jim Reeves. I guess she was right! Halfway through, the hospital called with unexpected good news…
