‘He’s Still God’

Erlene, this one’s for you–He’s Still God, by Carroll Roberson.

Scanning the news last night, trying to decide what to report this morning, it was all so bad, I almost laughed.

I don’t think God wants us to feel dismayed all the time. So maybe today–if I can get away with it–I’ll write about things other than the news.

He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh; the Lord shall have them in derision (Psalm 2). Our movers and shakers and wise men must be keeping Him in stitches, these days.

  1. Yes, indeed, Lee. I so often think of Psalm 2 when I observe all that is going on these days. There will be a lot of very shocked people on of these days. Yes, if it weren’t so sad, it would actually be hilarious to see these little worms that are so full of themselves; even thinking they can control the climate for pete’s sake. ha and ha ha

  2. Thank you, Lee, and thank you, Erlene. Hadn’t heard this before, but
indeed He IS still God! And Our God wins! Come, Lord Jesus!

Bringing in the weekend with ‘un-news’ sounds like a good plan 🙂

  3. This is a new song to me and it’s beautiful. I am so thankful that He is God and he cares for me.
What if God were to say, “I’m going to sleep in tomorrow so you will be on your own until 10:00 a.m. Stay alert to the dangers and be very careful.”
Wouldn’t we be in a terrible mess?
    God is so good !!!

  4. On my refrigerator, I keep as sign that says: ‘Good morning, this is God. I will be handling all your problems today. I will not need your help, so have a good day.’

  5. Lee, if you have no hymn in mind for tomorrow, would you please post ‘No More Night’ by Morris Chapman? Thank you.
