How to Wake a Sleepy Cat

I wonder if the world is changing. My dog Rags used to pretend to be asleep, tricking the birds into coming down to steal his dog food. Then he’d catch them and eat them. I don’t know why he did that.

But here’s a little bird determined to wake a sleepy cat, and the cat puts up with him without showing the slightest inclination to eat him. Who thought a cat and a parakeet could be friends?

Another little glimpse of what God’s Kingdom looks like.

  1. What a silly little bird 🙂 How sweet to see such things. God surely is giving us a glimpse of what He has in store for us.

This one was the promo that showed up after watching the sleepy cat:

    1. As we get these glimpses of supposed enemies actually caring for and about one another, it truly seems much more normal to me than the way things have been. What great things Father has for us in eternity!

Since Lee has had both rats and cats, I thought he would really appreciate this one! 🙂

    2. Rats are wonderful. I wish they had a longer life span. Pet rats, I mean. If subway rats lived ten years, they would take over.

  2. That’s really astounding, on both sides of the coin. That the cat would be gentle with the bird is less astouding to me than the fact that the bird would get that close to the cat.
