I couldn’t find a performance of this hymn by “Ron and Kelly”–in fact, I couldn’t find Ron and Kelly–but I couldn’t resist the video that went along with this one: views of the ancient Conmacnoise Monastery in Ireland. Beautiful!
Be Thou My Vision is an Irish hymn of the eighth century, but this monastery, founded by St. Claran in the sixth century, was already old when the hymn was first sung.
Today this hymn is still being sung all over the world, and there are still services conducted at the monastery.
Thank you so much for posting this beautiful song! This is my favorite hymn.

Hey, there are some pretty nice tunes on that album! Thanks for the tip.
I wonder why I couldn’t find these guys on youtube.
Thank you for listening to the songs!

Thank you for sharing this. I’m a direct support professional and I’ Sitting on an apartment porch with one of my two service recipients just listening to patriotic music. I thought I’d check my email and here this beautiful hymn was. My recipient really enjoyed listening to it. Have a blessed Fourth; I know I am.
Glad you liked it, Marge.
I’ve loved that old hymn from the first I heard it. My service recipients love going to church and listening (and sort of singing) to beautiful Christian songs and hymns. The favorite of this particular recipient is “Victory in Jesus.” We’ve run down my phone’s battery once or twice just listening to that hymn as well as John Denver singing Take Me Home, Country Roads.
I have enjoyed Van Morrison’s music throughout the years. He’s one of those people who identify with spirituality as apart from religion. At 72 years old he seems to still be going strong Maybe he will yet encounter Christ personally.
This is one of my top favorite hymn!
Mine too!
