By Request, ‘Why Me, Lord?’

Thank you, “WhiteRabbit,” for requesting this gem! Johnny Cash’s declaration, before he starts singing–“Jesus Christ is Lord!”–is worth more than money can buy. Why Me, Lord?, written by Kris Kristofferson, marvels at the grace and love of God.

We can’t replace Johnny Cash, but we surely can follow his example.

Jesus Christ is Lord!

  1. Beautiful! Thank you. In some ways it reminds me of one of my favorites, “Too Close to the Mirror,” which we’ve had here before.

    1. Yes, yes! — encore for “Too Close to the Mirror.” I especially like the version done by Eddie Ruth Bradford, who I believe wrote the hymn.

  2. When Johnny Cash and wife June Carter joined the Baptist Church their tithe was so large the church decided it might spoil them so had the Cash’s split it up to other ministries.

Today on the Drudge Report is a story that says Jeff Bezos only gives .0906% of his wealth to charities.
