They’re ruining it–why?

Some of you will realize that this was published here last week as a blog post, and that I’ve just expanded it a little for Newswithviews.

Never Give In – Never Give Up

Well, why not? I feel strongly about being subjected to spiritual and cultural pollution, and I can’t help thinking there’s a lot more of that sentiment out there than people dare express.

Leftism soils and debases everything–yes, everything–it touches.

  1. We live in a world that would have been unrecognizable when I was a child. I’ve learned to appreciate that as flawed as the world of my youth was, I was still privileged to grow up in a country that had mostly Christian values.

But that is not the case now. My personal opinion is that we are in the run-up to Christ’s return. It seems that the world around us is changing rapidly and situations that were unimaginable just a decade ago are becoming common. The values of our society have changed greatly, as well.

When we’ve done all that we can, we have to leave the rest with God. That doesn’t mean to give up, because Churchill was absolutely right about never giving up, but we can recognize the limitations of our situation and not be frustrated when the tide seems to be working against us. The ultimate judge of all this is not human, but of a higher nature. Pleasing our Creator is what counts.

  2. Instead of the news shows we usually watch in the morning, we watched TCM movies from the 1950’s. One can only take so much of “The sky is falling, the sky is falling.”
