I don’t get it, but they obviously have some way of sensing that they are safe.
I don’t really think kittens spend a lot of time pondering things- they just see something that looks like fun and go for it. Sometimes, it doesn’t work out too well, but mostly mature animals know baby animals
are like that and they make allowances — usually.
