Phoebe requested this, one of my very favorite Christmas carols–I Saw Three Ships Come Sailing In. True, it’s impossible to sail a ship to Bethlehem; but geography wasn’t a priority when this song was first sung. This lively rendition is by Blackmore’s Night.
That really is a lively version! Did I hear dancing feet in the background?
And now for a request: for one that’s usually sung during Advent even though it’s about an event long after the birth of Christ: “On Jordan’s Bank.”
What a happy song! In England they greet each other with “Happy Christmas.” How about a rendition of “Mary Did You Know?”
Blessed to hear this as I’m working on a book review for my blog
