Play It Again, Lee (‘He Hideth My Soul’)

I’ve just finished writing my Newswithviews column for the week. The day’s nooze has left a bad taste in my mouth. But this hymn has been in my mind all day–so I’m going to post it again.

He Hideth My Soul, by Fanny Crosby, sung by the Antrim Mennonite Choir–and it’s as fresh and uplifting as it was when it first came out in 1890. An antidote to nooze!

  1. It is always great to hear this one. I have been thinking of another one you might want to consider when Easter is near: Up From the Grave… by Voices of Eden. I always love that one, too.

    1. Oh, you can be sure I’ll use that one! I’m waiting, though, till Easter. Unless you’d like to hear it twice…

    1. That’s why they’re now talking about scannable apps instead. Eventually they’ll get around to tattoos or microchips. Probably rechargeable microchips, since they seem to be heading toward requiring annual booster shots for the predicted plague of “variants,” the latest bogeyman-alert in their effort to make the power grab permanent. (Not to mention putting more cash in the pharm companies’ coffers.)

    2. Better living through technology!
