I never heard this one before this morning–Tennessee Ernie Ford, with the Jordanaires, singing One Day at a Time. There’s something warm and cozy about this worship song. Which means there’s a need for lots more like it.

I had never heard this particular version, but I know the song well. It’s a good one.
Never heard of the Jordanaires, either–but I do remember Tennessee Ernie.
The Jordanaires are the group that did backup singing for Elvis Presley.
That must’ve been something to hear.
Yeah, liken’ the music videos you have placed here! I like Tennessee Ernie Ford, wonderful deep voice…”Sixteen Tons”, not a christian song, but I really like Ford’s singing of that song, and his many gospel songs he sang.
I thought of this song during the last few days of life my wife had. For me, I changed the lyrics a bit…not one day at a time, but one breath at a time. As I saw her strength slowly being drained, and each breath became a bit harder, it was truly my prayer for her, one more breath at a time, dear Lord…
I pray for your peace.
First time hearing this! One day at a time, nice!
