I used to feed my goldfish by hand. They’d let me pick them up, too, when it was time to clean their fish tank.
Here’s a man going out to his pond to feed and pet his catfish. I don’t hold with ignoring hungry turtles: he should’ve brought enough for everybody.
That’s the strangest thing I’ve ever seen. I guess that if it’s his pond and the fish knows what is about to happen, then it makes sense.
You never had tame fish?
I’ve never had fish, although I know that aquarium fish will learn to recognize their owners and expect food when they see them coming.
