‘Burdens Are Lifted at Calvary’

I haven’t got a hymn request this morning, not yet. In that case, I always post the first hymn that pops into my head–today, Burdens Are Lifted at Calvary, sung by the Voice of Eden, in South India: 20 Christian voices raised in praise.

  1. I just love this group of singers. They always do such a wonderful rendition of every song they sing.

    2. They have a whole channel on YouTube. A lot of their songs are in Tamil, but even some of those have English subtitles, and there are also quite a lot of English ones as well.

      I don’t mind if the lyrics are sung in Tamil: the message isn’t dependent on the language.

  4. Makes me think of the three disciples with Jesus on the Mount of Transfiguration who wanted to build shelters and remain there. No matter how wonderful our worship of Jesus may be, we always have to go back into the world and fight the good fight of faith.
