If you’re a regular reader of this blog, you’ve already encountered the inanities described in this week’s Newswithviews column. A stunned incredulity moves me to revisit them.
Letting criminals run wild. Spending millions of dollars to find out whether house paint is racist. (Why not? Everything else is.) Spending millions more to reprint government documents with a different type face, because someone, somewhere, can’t read the ones we have.
How long can we keep on doing stupid stuff like this before our civilization capsizes?
I’m surprised that there hasn’t been a collapse.

All that bad news. But I have a bit of good news, the book you mailed to me on November 22, 2022, “The Thunder King”, just arrived today, and it was not damaged and is in good shape. And a signed copy no less. However, there was some postage “due.” There shouldn’t be, for it was all paid for already. But that is the way things operate here at times. But no matter, I am very happy it finally came. I wasn’t kidding when I told you most things mailed to the Philippines, normally take about two or three months to arrive.

Wouldn’t it be great, if you have more contests I could win…maybe I could end up winning enough to receive all the books you have written…well, in my dreams.
