This ca-ca, dating back to 2020, popped up on my search page this weekend.

According to Princeton “University”–where, last time I looked, they weren’t accepting just anybody, but only those deemed best suited to Princeton’s standards and needs–“A belief in meritocracy is not only false; it’s bad for you”!

Okay–can I have a Ph. D. now, please? Waddaya mean, I didn’t earn one? You just said we only get what we get because of luck, there’s no such thing as “merit.” If somebody who toiled and studied and paid for it feels slighted because you give me a doctorate for the asking–well, he’s just being “selfish,” isn’t he?

Once upon a time, in a student debate at high school, I had an insight that comes back to me now. ‘You only resent so-and-so’s success because you’re jealous.”

Yes, there are a lot of fat-heads out there who did get lucky breaks but think they’re God’s gift to the planet. But Princeton’s hypocritical concept of “equality” is asinine. Put me out on the basketball court and pay me Michael Jordan’s salary! Yeah, fans’ll flock to those games.

Once again we are presented with incontrovertible proof that college itself is stupid and it trains its staff and students to be stupid.

Oh, heck, let everybody be an air traffic controller, whether they can master the skills or not! It may start raining airplanes, but at least we’ll have “equality”.
