All right, there’s a revival going, let’s get revived! We can’t all make it to Asbury University, Kentucky–but surely we can be there in spirit, and surely God’s grace can come to us wherever we are. Open the door to Jesus! He won’t care if you haven’t washed the breakfast dishes yet.
Sing hymns today, hum them, whistle them, whatever. Let’s get revived! And here’s a hymn to get you started, it got me started–I Sing the Mighty Power of God, 18th-century masterpiece by Isaac Watts, sung by the congregation at Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, California.
Rejoice in the righteousness of God!
How about “In the Name of Jesus We Have the Victory”?
Well, why not?
I hope we sing this one tomorrow in Divine Worship Service!
It was a big favorite at Y Camp.
I love the words and melody from this 300-year-old hymn so much, I placed it in the songbook we use for our morning devotions.
