Merkel’s out to pasture, but her freedom-hunt continues…
Remember when there used to be a “Free World,” and West Germany was in it, and the Soviet Union loomed in the east, waiting for its chance to push its tanks out to the English Channel?
That threat is over–although assorted (ahem!) “leaders” are working to revive it. But one thing that’s never over is the open season on free speech.
Ah, Hate Speech laws! Germany, Britain, Canada, France, etc., etc.–that was the Free World, once upon a time.
But now it’s where you go if you’ve run out of patience with the First Amendment.
Coming soon to an America near you! Weird European notions of “freedom”! In case you need to remember why we fought our War for Independence.
Oh, how we need a national Great Awakening! How can we ever shrink the federal government back to Constitutional size without one. Jesus as King is the answer. I pray we become One Nation Under Jesus Christ (check out the Lord’s prayer).
I wish we knew how to make a Great Awakening.
You either have free speech or you don’t. Hate speech laws are a very slippery slope. I’ve been called every name in the book, but it’s not the government’s job to keep my feelings from being hurt.
