Is This the Issue That Will Split the Democrats?

Suddenly we find our universities turned into hotbeds of anti-Semitism. How and when did that happen? When I was in college, anything less than total support for Israel was practically unthinkable. But students and professors today, many of them, are head-over-heels in love with the Hamas terrorists. You know–the ones who murder babies.

I don’t understand it. Although founded on history enshrined in the Old Testament, Israel has become a largely secular state that’d be a Blue state, a Democrat state, if you moved it to the U.S. You’d think the American Left would love Israel!

But no. These same students and professors who hiss and spit at Christians for being (so they allege) homophobic, anti-science, ignorant and superstitious, neo-nazi white supremacists, blah-blah-blah, have totally got the hots for the Islamic jihad, currently personified by Hamas. Do they understand how some Muslim countries treat women? Don’t open up your feminist coffee klatch anywhere the Taliban can see it. And those are live “gays” being tossed off the roofs of skyscrapers. No, Islamists are not fans of the Far Left Crazy fun-pack.

Pro-Israel vs. pro-Hamas (“Gays for Gaza,” “Queer for Palestine,” etc.)–is this the Democrat Party’s fracture line? The pro-Hamas Terrorists are really, really mad at the Biden administration for not stopping Israel from reducing Hamas to a footnote in a history book. Again, this was once unthinkable here. Now it looks like half the Democrat Party. It would be nice to see it transformed into a pair of impotent nothingburgers, the Far Left Crazy Party vs. the Farther Left Crazy Party, too busy trying to wipe each other out to win any more elections.

May it please God to confound them all.

  1. It isn’t so much love of the State of Israel as much as love of the Holy Land where Jesus lived, died, and resurrected, and where His coming back will take place at the end of this age. The ancient spiritual warfare between Christ and Satan continues until our day. Jesus Who conquered sin and death on the cross tells us to occupy until He comes and that work for His Kingdom of the earth is not in vain.

    1. Once upon a time, and not so long ago, there was ZERO support in America for groups like Hamas. I think Victor Hansen is right when he blames it on our universities.
