‘When Is an “F” Not an “F?”‘ (2019)

Gee, how can you keep failing schools from shutting down?

The answer is obvious: lower the standards!

When is an “F” not an “F”?

North Carolina was confronted by a problem: “Damn! Too many of our public schools are failing!” What to do? Well, no sense riling the teachers’ unions. Just change the definition of failure! The “F” mark used to be “60”; so they lowered it to “39”.

What happens when it gets down to “0”?

  1. Really hard to imagine. When I went to school, things were very cut and dried. You either made it or you didn’t. Now, everything seems so …. I don’t wonder that young people can’t
do justice to a job. They can’t spell, can’t do math, do not use proper English– oh, maybe
that is because they come from another country???

    1. If you’ve been reading idiots who write “they” for “him” or “her,” you wouldn’t think English is spoken here, either.
