It’s cold, it’s raining, I’m tired–but how about a little bit of God’s stuff, as a pick-me-up?
This baby wolf is trying to learn to howl. I wonder where Mommy and Poppa Wolf are; I doubt they ate the cameraman. I don’t know, that little spindly tail is a major win-you-over. Yeah, all right, they grow up into savage predators–but a puppy is a puppy, says I. And puppies are a gift from God.
It is a cutie alright. Babies are precious, like the baby badger we raised.
I can’t help envying you that experience.
I always find such posts upbuilding.
That’s a cute little fellow, to be assured. I am absolutely convinced that, to our Maker, every life is precious, and when all it restored, the animal kingdom will benefit greatly. God made these creatures to be appealing, and they are just that. Just watching that clip, it’s obvious that this little fellow is enjoying life, exploring nearby and taking in God’s goodness.
I live in a place where some of the wildlife is nothing to trifle with. Other than keeping an eye peeled for rattlers, there’s little everyday impact, but being this close to these creatures is impressive. They prosper in an environment quite hostile to humans. The deer are friendly, but the coyotes are to be avoided. I have no problem with someone shooting a coyote that approaches an inhabited area. Frankly, I’d be more trusting of a wolf than of a coyote. I can see the nobility of a wolf, but coyotes are jerks.
Keep on, keeping on with practice little guy,
