Gee, there’s a lot of them…
I admit this post sounds a little pompous, twelve years after it was written. But that’s something that can happen to you when you’re serious about your work.
I have half a book to write–Ozias, Prince Enthroned–and another lined up after that. And it’s nerve-racking to watch what happens to our culture while I feel like I’m only treading water.
Onward, anyway. Work and pray, and leave the outcome up to God.
Yes, what our assignments are from our Heavenly Father, we need to stay involved with those things as first priority. You do well.
This is Mousekin again. My husband and I have worked with youth at juvenile detention centers. These places always need reading material. The materials cannot have any staples in them because the kids use the metal to hurt themselves or others. Your books would be a valuable addition to these correctional facilities. Have you ever thought about that? Start with your own community and see where it leads.
That’s something I never knew about.
We are to lose our lives to find them in Christ and His personal calling for us. May our Lord confirm your book writing every page of the way.
I’m a new fan of the Bell Mountain series! As a writer myself, I’ve always ground my teeth when other fantasy books had magic in them and supported it. I’m reading The Fugitive Prince right now, and last night I stumbled upon your line that went something like, “If magic wasn’t real, why did it say in the Scriptures not to practice magic?” BRAVO!!! It’s my goal to write safe fantasy books that teens and tweens can read with no fear of that junk, and I’m so happy to have found a new favorite! Thank you for doing what God has called you to do! I only have books 1-9 (sold to me by a friend who owned them before me) but I can’t wait to get the next few!
Oh, thank you for that!
That work of the series goes on.
