Has the sun set on the Day of the Blog?

In 2020 I averaged over 400 views a day. Now I’m lucky if I get 200. Why is that, do you suppose?

Some of you have blogs of your own, and I’d very much like to know if your viewership stats have gone over the falls. Is this happening simply because people aren’t into blogs anymore–or is it a more subtle means of censorship? “Just block enough of their views to discourage them, and then they’ll shut up.”

I think we very much need a social media community–especially for Christians and conservatives. I think we need each other. Don’t you?

  1. Hi, Lee; Mousekin again. Yes! We need each other. I don’t have a blog, but I read several and the comments have been that viewership is down. One blogger went to a podcast. He still has a blog, but more people are viewing his podcast.

    1. Thanks, Mousekin. I’m afraid a podcast would be beyond my technical abilities, which are nothing to write home about.

  2. I agree with you. There are so few ways that believer can express themselves without being denigrated. Not that I give a hoot about being attacked, but it is very nice to visit a blog
like yours and be blessed instead of belittled. I am just in such poor health that I am not up to as much in any way as I previously was.

  3. Thank you, and you are in my prayers, and yes, the prayer list is very long- keeps me busy morning and night.

  4. WordPress needs bloggers to make their money off of advertisers. I think a drop in viewership is more a matter of competition. Everyone seems to have a podcast these days because people are too lazy to read. Then there is Substack where intellectuals hang out. It is a world in transition. What used to take decades to become a trend now takes but a few months. Blogs are still a thing so just keep on keeping on is my advice.
