These past few days have just clobbered us, Patty, Robbie, and me. I feel a need for this hymn–O Worship the King, performed by Maddy Prior and the Carnival Band–reminding us we’re in God’s hands. I’ve often played it on my harmonica.
Let’s find an easy movie and relax with it. Maybe after supper I’ll find a nice critter video to post.
Sounds good. Everybody needs to relax after some stressful times. May the Lord bless you.
Wonderful music video. Good luck finding a nice movie.
We settled for a “Rumpole of the Bailey” episode.
We actually sang this song in my high school mandatory choral music class in the 1950s, but to a slightly different melody. Well, the sopranos, second sopranos, and altos sang it. I didn’t, because I was in the “listeners” section of class, where those of us who couldn’t carry a tune were told to “just move your lips.” We became excellent lip-synchers, even adding emotive gestures at times, until the teacher told us to stop distracting the altos. (We sat next to them.)
I was drafted into our 7th grade chorus. My voice was changing. “Stay in the back row and only move your lips.”
