(Wondering how he’ll ever pay back his student loan…)
I said it would be a good thing for America if there were fewer colleges and universities–and the Google brats hit the ceiling. WARNING! WARNING! RED-FLAG THIS ARTICLE ON NEWSWITHVIEWS!
My observation that college is for many a waste of time and money made me “dangerous” to The People. I will never match my father’s accomplishments, nor my mother’s–and neither of them ever spent a day in college.
I’ve been studying this for a long time, and my conclusion is simply stated:
College shrinks your brain.
If college actually was college, like it used to be, this would be another matter. When I was a kid, people who had been to college were usually well spoken and knowledgeable. In many cases they stood out, because they had studied hard and learned much in their college years. That was in the days when you didn’t have Superhero Studies, or other similar pursuits. Most college grads had been exposed to classical literature and probably had a pretty good grasp on history. It was easy to respect someone like that.
I’ve met more recent college grads who had poor verbal skills and struck me as very limited in their knowledge of history. Many have never read any of the classics, but most of them are well versed in the politically correct. More than a few are obviously unaware of how things work in the real world, but will fall back on their MBA as authority to make decisions, many of which they do not understand.
Our whole education system has exactly the opposite effect of what we pay for it to do.
It fastens down people’s ignorance and makes them stupid.
Well stated.
Charlie Kirk would agree with you 100%. At our City Elders meeting last night our speaker was Dr. Bill Smith and expert on Covid and now Monkey Pox. He says they have changed the name to MPox because they do not want to offend monkeys. And with that reasoning, Chicken Pox, which is very similar to MPox in symptoms should now be called CPox so as not to offend chickens 🙂
