Something about baby elephants raises my spirit when I see them. Like, “Hey! I live in a world designed and put together, and governed, by the God who dreamed up baby elephants and made them real.” And He cares for us, who are by no means as cute as baby elephants.
Animals can tell us more about God than we realize.
In an amazing coincidence, I watched a couple of baby elephant videos recently. What struck me the most was the fact that even a baby elephant, only a few days old, understood fully that it was an elephant, part of the herd, and knew its place in the herd. That isn’t blind evolution, it exists because God emplaced instincts into these magnificent creatures.
Our God is truly an awesome God.
Amen!
I always thought baby elephants were some of the cutest critters out there.
They are fascinating to watch. Perhaps it’s the sight of something that large with all of the grace and restraint inherent to any baby animal. Baby rhinos are likewise amusing.
Just thought of a song for tomorrow or whenever you have time: His Eye is on the Sparrow by Tennessee Ernie.
Coming right up.
