Watching kittens at play has always been a tonic for me. But how many of them are there in this video? Five… or is it six… or seven?

The big white cat is their mother.

  2. One thing I love about cats is how imaginative they are. Kittens will play in ways that suggest they are pretending to be living out all sorts of adventures. This, obviously, helps to prepare them for lives where they may have to hunt in order to feed themselves.

    This little group was fun to watch, and the somewhat calico kitten seemed extraordinarily fierce, for one so tiny, with her arched back and bent tail. The mother cat took it in stride, and kept her dignity, secure in the knowledge that she was queen of the realm. Truly a beautiful feline.

    1. It’s hard for me to post cat videos, because I miss our cats so badly. But look at me–I miss our crickets sometimes.

    2. It has to be hard. One step follows the other, so keep up the fight and you’ll get back to where you need to be. At that time, there will be plenty of felines available.
