I’m a bit distressed this morning–worried about Erlene, short on sleep, and can see no end to all the doctoring. It’s not surprising this hymn hit me where I live.
In the Sweet By and By, sung by the Mennonite Singers: Christ knows where we are, and at the appointed time He will call us to Himself.
We don’t have to be old or sick for God to call us away. My daughter was here for only 23 days, and my wife for 44 years (but she had heart problems). The two babies my first wife lost (miscarries) were called away before they even came into the world. Whenever, God calls us home, that’s the correct time.
