This isn’t the melody I’m familiar with, but the message remains.
I haven’t heard this hymn before.
This is the melody and tempo that I’ve always heard in church — except for one organist/soloist in one of my parishes who always slowed down the tempo of everything to the point at which we used to joke that he could make “Hallelujah” sound like “Woe Is Me.”
Well, I never heard that version, either. I suppose there are more hymns than there are churches to sing them.
