Do owls know better than to try to force themselves uphill? Do we?

I have just posted an eye-wateringly beautiful rendition of In Christ Alone, by Michael W. Smith. I’d kind of like it to stay with me for a while! I do not want to write about Obama and Kamalalalala or any of the rest of ’em. Scat! Shoo!

Anybody out there got any hymns you’d like me to post?

  1. A break from news is refreshing. The sturm and drang of it all can be wearisome. Am I the only person left that uses the term “ sturm and drang”? The autocorrect feature on my iPad keeps trying to change it to “storm and drink”, but it’s German for “storm and stress” and I remember seeing it in use, frequently, in my earlier days, and while I spoke not a syllable of German, I knew what it meant, immediately.

Anyhow, the term sturm and drang perfectly describes the wearisome nature of the news, in our era. It just never ends, and the crise du jour (crisis of the day) will be replaced by a new “crise” as soon as it’s newsworthiness is exhausted.
