Sometimes our cats would run to the door when we came home. But cats are less excitable than dogs. And iguanas even more so. I think our turtle was our biggest fan.
I take a bike ride, most days. When I leave, it’s not uncommon for my little Siamese to be at the window, watching me go, and when I come home, it’s not uncommon for her to be waiting at one of the windows. When I go to town, she’s almost always at the window when I drive up.
