‘Elderly Nuns’ Stick Up for Pagan Shrine

175 Angry Nun Stock Photos, High-Res Pictures, and Images ...

My Aunt Better was a nun. I’m glad she didn’t see this.

*Sigh* Nine elderly nuns in lawn chairs (so goes the report from Crisis Magazine) are, um, “defending” a mountain said to be sacred to pagans (https://crisismagazine.com/opinion/when-catholic-nuns-defend-a-tribal-mountain-sacred-to-pagans-something-is-wrong). It also contains the largest copper deposit in North America–hence the mining.

It’s all happening in Arizona. [Excuse me for a moment. ??? : there’ that’s better].The three-day protest was staged last month.

Well, that’s “Progressive Catholicism” for you. It doesn’t seem to have much in common with regular Catholicism. I wonder how “elderly” the protesting nuns are–and what other protests and babblings they’ve produced over the years.

I don’t think we’ll have to wait long to see what the new Pope is made of.

  1. There are already bad signs about the new Pope — which I won’t go into here. As for the nuns, there’s no picture of them (unless the picture at the top of the post is one of them), but I’d be willing to bet they’re what I call “nuns in mufti,” superannuated hippies who’ve cast off their habits in order to appear “relevant.” (Not sure what they’re relevant to except maybe Marx and Alinsky.) I’m familiar with some of the orders, and I can tell you that two of them (Dominicans of Peace and Sisters of St. Joseph) are notorious for their radicalism. I’m surprised at those Franciscans of Perpetual Adoration, though; they’re generally known for their orthodoxy. Must be a breakaway rogue community.

Okay, I’m done for tonight. Teeny-tiny phone keyboard has worn me out.

  2. Amazing, considering that most of the members of the tribe want this to proceed. Apparently the will of the woke outweighs the will of the majority. Any time that tribal man’s can be developed and bring in revenue, that is a source of opportunity and may help to provide meaningful employment and opportunity where few opportunities have existed.

  3. Thanks for the tip. That AZ copper mine looks like a good place to buy stock in. 🙂 In a negatively charge world (it has been cursed by the Creator) the negative news always trump’s the positive news.
