Years ago, when Lee and I were watching a lot of baseball (before they ruined the game), when a given player performed really abysmally in a game we would say he was a candidate for bum of the year.
Today I decided to take the day off–completely off. No fretting about what had to be done, no projects started or finished. Nada. I watched a lot of YouTube, did a little reading, set up my spareribs for supper and that was basically it.
That turned out to be a very good idea. I felt a lot better than I had been and had no sense of pressure or stress.
I just can’t let that become a habit.
Raining like mad here today and supposed to continue for another day or two.

It’s important to have some contrast in your life. Quite coincidentally, today was pretty much an off day for me. It has been cold, and the wind has been high enough to be unpleasant, so I did a whole lot of nothing today. Breakfast in a favorite restaurant tomorrow, and hopefully the weather will be better.
Sounds like a plan.
