Portland’s After School Satan Club

Are you ready for this? Please say you’re not.

Portland, Oregon–a public elementary school, for children aged 5 to 10 years old, has okayed an “After School Satan Club” (ASSC) for the kiddies ( http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/09/28/school-grants-satanic-temple-permission-to-run-after-school-club/ ).

School officials duck responsibility for this by saying a child can’t participate in any after-school club without parental permission–and also they gotta have a Satan club because they already have a Bible club and it just wouldn’t be right not to give the kids the opportunity to choose the Devil over Jesus Christ.

This educational enterprise is sponsored by the Satanic Temple, which claims that there is “a massive wave of interest… across the nation” and that “parents are concerned about encroachment”–encroachment!–by Christians into the public schools.

The Satan Club, they say, will focus on “science and rational thought.”

Scientists ought to sue for defamation. Unless the link between science and Satanism is real. But I’m not saying it; the satanists are.

They’ve already got a workbook, too: The Satanic Children’s Big Book of Activities. I don’t think I want to know what those activities are.

I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again: Christians who want to raise up Christian children don’t send their kids to public school.
