My mother used to sing this hymn as she went about her housework. Hearing it always brings that memory vividly to life for me.
My favorite memory of this hymn is from a gorgeous summer Sunday in the morning, at the Y Camp’s outdoor chapel, overlooking a glorious patchwork of farmed fields and rolling woodlands–and a quartet of camp counselors singing this in perfect harmony: All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name.

Requested by Erlene, this lovely hymn–Great Is Thy Faithfulness, sung by the Blue Rock Mennonite Youth–with some of God the Father’s most gorgeous background sets. If all He ever did was to create the beauty of the earth, we should love Him for that! But of course He has done so much more.
This is a hymn that needs to be sung again and again, loudly–that the Lord might use His power, and save us: All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name. What name will the enemy invoke against it?

Now this hymn will be in my head all day, but that’s a good thing. How often my mother and my aunts used to sing this as they went about their housework! Thank you, O God.
