I haven’t posted this one for a while–By the Rivers of Babylon, sung by Boney M. It’s Psalm 137 in the Bible.
Dr. No. 2 thinks I might live a few more years.
Enough’s enough. A glass of root beer, please.

I haven’t posted this one in a long time; I can’t imagine why.
By the Rivers of Babylon, by Boney M: really, it’s Psalm 137 set to music: the exiled people of Judah mourning for their country.
Let’s pray we give ourselves no occasions to mourn our country.
Our seventh-grade home room was drafted into the chorus in time for a Christmas concern; and The Little Drummer Boy was one of the songs we sang. First time I’d ever heard it.
Requested by Ina: The Little Drummer Boy by Boney M.
Here is Psalm 137 set to music by Boney M–By the Rivers of Babylon. Captivity was harsh and bitter for Israel; but they’d brought it on themselves, adopting heathen practices and refusing to listen to the prophets. Nothing changes, does it?
Requested by Ina–I’m Born Again, performed by Boney M.
Hey, there’s a revival going on! To do our part, we’ll publish all hymn requests, ASAP. I don’t know what will happen if we were to post half a dozen hymns in one day… but in the spirit of the revival, we just might find out.
I’m taking Ina’s word for it that this is a hymn–Exodus, by Boney M. There are many worship styles, they all belong to God and who am I to say otherwise? Readers, I try to give you what you ask for.
This spiritual comes to us via Psalm 137–By the Rivers of Babylon, by Boney M. Requested by Ina. By the rivers of Babylon we sat down and wept, when we remembered Zion… Change course, and turn to the Lord.
Only today and tomorrow, that’s all that’s left of our Christmas Carol Contest. So get those entries in. Meanwhile, I wonder if I should play them now and then throughout the year.
Requested by Ina, Mary’s Boy Child, by Boney M.
I’m here! Late, but here.
Requested by Thewhiterabbit, another go-round for The Little Drummer Boy, this one by Boney M.
Oh, this Christmas week is racing by too fast! Let’s keep those carols coming. The contest ain’t over till New Year’s.
Requested by Ina: Zion’s Daughter, by Boney M. If the melody seems familiar, well, it should–it’s an adaptation of See the Conquering Hero Comes, by G. F. Handel. It might not be a bad thing to look in on that one, too.
