Energetic Kittens

These are such pretty kittens–and look at ’em go! What must it be like, to have that kind of energy? Well, most of us did have it, once upon a time; but sometimes it’s hard to remember how it felt.

6 Cats… 1 Fly

Six cats in one room, all trying to catch one fly–and they couldn’t do it? Sheesh, our cat Buster could have done it by himself. And one chameleon could’ve, too. How many of these cats would it take to unscrew a light bulb?

Cat Plays Air Hockey

We don’t have air hockey, but our cat Henry passionately wanted to play Strat-O-Matic Baseball. He used to give me lengthy arguments about it.

The video shows a cat being inducted into the joys of air hockey.

Feline Fridge Raiders

I am so glad none of our cats ever got into doing this! But–? Will it profit us to prop the refrigerator door shut with a nice big rock? Stay tuned to find out.

Hunters in the House

Cats can’t help it. They have to chase things. You should’ve seen our cat Henry camped out by the terrarium, just itching for a chance to chase our newly-hatched baby lizards.

Here are a couple of cats whom Henry would have envied.

Cats Doing Cat Stuff

We love to watch our cats–I mean, at least, as long as we don’t have to clean up afterward. Have you noticed how creative they can be? I remember the time our cat Henry snuck out and got caught in heavy rain. A little too creative, that time.

Not All Chess Masters Are Human

Clock ticking, cat purring… as he contemplates his next move. And speaking as a chess-player myself, I don’t like his chances. But he’s purring! He’s seeing something I can’t see! And that’s what separates the masters from the muddlers.

TV Time for Kitty

I don’t think this combination has a long or promising future: expensive hotsy-totsy flat-screen TV, and a cat who thinks the birds he sees on screen are real and ought to be caught and eaten.

Then again, some cats just don’t care.

Can’t Keep Out the Cat!

No doubt about it–a certain kind of door is just child’s play to any cat who wants to open it. They’ve got it down to a science.

I’d like to know how successful they are when confronted by an old-fashioned doorknob, the kind you have to turn. Those lever-type doorknobs pose no challenge at all.

Concealed Kitties

It drove Etruscan scientists just about mad, trying to find out why cats wedge themselves into unlikely places. In fact, it’s why their civilization is no longer with us. Cat motives continue to mystify human observers.
