‘He Who Would Valiant Be’ (with Train Ride)

I am so late today! But I can’t help it. By the time the weekend comes around, I’m shot.

John Bunyan’s hymn, He Who Would Valiant Be–also known as To Be a Pilgrim–was inspired by a dream he had after reading Hebrews 11.

I do wish I could have a seat on this train! The North York Moors Railway wends its leisurely way through Goathland, Yorkshire.

I wonder if there’s a train that takes us to Heaven.

‘He Who Would Valiant Be’

We’re going to need tranquility, and you’ll find some in this video: He Who Would Valiant Be, sung against a backdrop of the Goathland Moors on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, steam engine and all.

And we will need to be valiant, too. I haven’t yet steeled myself to look at nooze today. May God give us courage, strengthen our faith, and strengthen our hands: in Jesus’ name, Amen.

‘He Who Would Valiant Be’

I have no idea whether the hymn I selected will appear here. Everything on this computer is chaos today.

What I wanted–and I don’t know if that’s what you’re seeing–was He Who Would Valiant Be, accompanied by video of a scenic, soothing little ride on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.

Pray for my head not to explode today.
