Psalm 37

This was the psalm, Psalm 37, that came up for me in today’s daily Bible reading: “Fret not thyself because of evildoers.” Did that psalm speak to me? Oh, yeah–loud and clear.

The ungodly just now are running wild, having a grand time as they pursue the destruction of our country.

Their end is destruction in this world–anybody seen the Soviet Union around lately?–and judgment in the next.

Never, never, never, never give in.

Bonus Hymn, ‘I’ve Never Seen the Righteous Forsaken’

We have a bonus hymn today, courtesy of Erlene: I’ve Never Seen the Righteous Forsaken, by Dallas Holm. If the words seem familiar, that’s because they come from Psalm 37: “I have never seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.”

And now I have to disappear for a while, swallowed up the bankers’ labyrinth, trying to settle the few crumbs left of Aunt Joan’s estate–all of which is to be consumed by the government, because she ran out of money and Medicaid had to foot the bill. This business is never over.
