We need God’s grace; and Our Lord Jesus Christ is God’s grace in His person.
Yesterday was horrendous. We’re feeling sort of drained. Take it to God in prayer! Our Lord will share our burdens.
Lots of prayer today.

The sun came out again today, and I was taking a break, enjoying the weather, when this hymn swept me into its arms. I thought I’d better post it–especially this closing verse.
Our fathers’ God to thee, author of liberty, to thee we sing.
Long may our land be bright, with freedom’s holy light!
Protect us by thy might, great God our King!
Our country, and indeed the whole world, is in the most terrible trouble. Sin, folly, wickedness, war: we are in dire need of God’s protection, in desperate need of repentance and God’s grace. We need your grace, O LORD, and need it now.
In Jesus’ name, Amen!

*Sigh* I have to take down our Christmas tree today, it’s getting dried-out. Lug all the boxes out of the closet, pack the ornaments, stuff the boxes back into the closet, haul the tree out to the curb… and somehow get all my writing done while I’m at it. I wish we had a picture of our tree. We don’t know if we can get the hi-tech camera to work at all.
I can only pray, O Lord, that you bless this Christmas past and give it power to work for good all year long, right up to next Christmas.
Without your blessing we wouldn’t last two days.
