By Request, ‘Rescue the Perishing’

Having just written my News With Views column for the week, I was in need of a hymn. My own strength is insufficient for the task; but “Blessed be the Lord my strength” (Psalm 144).

Thanks to Linda for requesting this hymn–nourishment for the soul.  Pretty good for my blood pressure, too, come to think of it.

Thank you, Lee. In these troubled and troubling times – even day to day life – we can all use some soul nourishing as we trudge through, always longing to be with Him.

How wonderful to hear these old songs of the past. This one, I remember so well, singing in our little church.
