In the 19th century, the word “czar” was synonymous with “tyrant.” Today it’s just another goon set up by the central government.

So now Britain’s going to have an “Internet safety czar” to scrub away what’s left of freedom in that unfortunate nation.

Here Comes The Internet Czar

We learn in Romans 13 that God ordained the civil government to keep the peace, to protect us from those who would do us harm, and to capture and punish, and restrain, evildoers. A government that does those things deserves our support, even if it’s not a Christian government.

Funny, though, isn’t it? Those who complain the loudest about God’s laws–against fornication, mostly–are always the first in line when it comes to cutting off other people’s freedoms.

For the Left’s definition of “freedom,” see North Korea.

  1. The success of the US was a result of limiting the power of government. As Reagan phrased it, turning people loos to do what they do best. However, as people have turned away from God, they don’t always make the best choices.

  2. Great article as always. But to your list of things that leftists apparently don’t consider “inappropriate material for children,” I’d add drag queen story hours at libraries. When I was young, these perversion-promoting freaks — and the library staff who brought them in — would have been arrested.

    1. You’re lucky. I can’t get those horrible pictures out of my mind, no matter how I try.

  3. The only true freedom is this: Those whom the Son of God has set free are free indeed. Salvation is freedom from the condemnation of the law of sin and death. And: It is for freedom Christians have been set free. But those who do not believe in hell have no need of salvation. In fact, they have no need for religion at all because they never even think in terms of it. This is why we call them lost.
