First things first! We have a hymn request from SlimJim–In Christ Alone, by Keith and Kristyn Getty. We’ve got to take this hymn to heart: this fallen world and its CEO the Devil are looking to devour us. Only Christ can save us.

I just love this hymn! Thank you, Lee and Jim!!
I’d like to request “Shall We Gather at the River” by my dear brother Jeremy! Here’s the link: https://youtu.be/yfZj53dvZIg
I’ll post this now–and afterward, I want to write some more about heroes.
Thank you, sir! I was big on heroes when I was younger. I’ll be sure to read about the heroes!
Thing is, the real ones don’t wear goofy costumes and have muscles on top of their muscles. They do things they’re afraid to do, because they have to.
And now in this evil age, heroes have been marked down, devalued, denied–and replaced by villains.
Nowadays, I count great Christian leaders as my heroes. Modern Christian heroes today include Pastors John MacArthur and James Coates (Pastor Coates was imprisoned for preaching the gospel during covid, obeying God rather than man, but now, by God’s grace, he’s released).
This may be the most requested hymn on this blog. I know it is one of my favorites.
I wouldn’t be surprised if you were right.
A great blessing indeed. I love it. It is so true.
Never gets old!
