I couldn’t find the hymn that I was looking for this morning, but I’m very happy I found this: Come Unto Jesus, sung by Laura Story, with assists by Keith and Kristyn Getty and Jordan Kauflin. Trust me, it’s beautiful.
This is an old Sunday school favorite, spruced up a little by Keith and Kristyn Getty: This Is My Father’s World. Two lines of the lyric make words to live by: “Yet tho’ the wrong seem oft so strong,/ God is the ruler yet.”
It’s positively freezing, up here in Jersey-land; and yet all the trees are suddenly in bud, and even our ancient dogwood tree has opened up its blossoms. God’s stuff is on the move.
Here’s a new rendition of a classic hymn, This Is My Father’s World, performed by Keith & Kristyn Getty… with plenty of beautiful things to enjoy.
First things first! We have a hymn request from SlimJim–In Christ Alone, by Keith and Kristyn Getty. We’ve got to take this hymn to heart: this fallen world and its CEO the Devil are looking to devour us. Only Christ can save us.
Requested by TheWhiteRabbit, we have Keith and Kristyn Getty and the Magnificat (Luke 1:46-55) set to music. What could be better for Advent?
“The White Rabbit” requested this hymn, and today’s his birthday–so may it bring you barrels of joy, Dave! Magnificat by Keith and Kristyn Getty–of course it’s in the Christmas Carol Contest: the “Magnificat” starts off the Gospel of Luke, we don’t get the actual birth of Christ until Chapter 2; and you can’t have a second chapter unless you’ve had a Chapter 1.
