We have this Easter hymn from my friend, “Jessicafischerqueen,” at Chessgames. com–Pie Jesu (O, Sweet Jesus), from a requiem by Faure. The soprano solost is Lisa Beckley.

Sounds beautiful!!
My dad found this wonderful version of “Hallelujah” on YouTube! The original lyrics of the song are not good and even blasphemous, but I was always fond of the melody, but not the lyrics. So finally someone changed the lyrics to make it more meaningful and beautiful (credit to Kelly Mooney)!! I’d like to request “A Resurrected Hallelujah” sung by Cassandra Star and her older sister Callahan! Here’s the link! https://youtu.be/-j3NZEdHQaI
What were some of the bad lyrics?
I was gonna do another nooze post, but fulfilling a hymn request is better.
The lyrics speak of God in a disrespectful manner. https://genius.com/Leonard-cohen-hallelujah-lyrics
This article explains about it. https://reasonsforhopejesus.com/leonard-cohen-hallelujah/
Thank you for posting the Easter version!
I see what you mean. Well, that’s Leonard Cohen for you. No point in seeking religious instruction from him.
Sorry, that was supposed to be “A Resurrection Hallelujah,” not “Resurrected.” I prefer “Resurrection” to “Easter.”
Very soothing, and I am sure the lyrics were anointed.
