Maddy Prior, ‘To Be a Pilgrim’

Yes, I know I post this a lot, you can even say “all the time”–To Be a Pilgrim, by John Bunyan, performed the old-fashioned way by Maddy Prior and the Carnival Band. But sometimes our pilgrimage is wearisome: and speaking for myself, I need a morale boost, big-time. I need this hymn this morning.

I pray it ministers to you, too.

  1. Can’t go wrong with a good hymn. It is always good to think on the Lord and His ways. I was thinking of Carroll Roberson’s version of How Great Thou Art. If you need another one this morning.

  2. Is there a way for me to purchase just the music to this? I would love to teach it to my class!

    1. Gee, I don’t know. The hymn is over 100 years old, so how can there be a copyright issue?
If I were you I’d go to Youtube and search for To Be a Pilgrim. You might find an instrumental.
