By Request, ‘Praise My Soul the King of Heaven’

Requested by Phoebe, Praise My Soul the King of Heaven. I’d never heard this hymn before, but I’m in a mood of thanksgiving and I couldn’t have selected a better him to express it! Sung by a Northern Baptist Association choir.

I’m just a little daunted by the magnitude of the task, writing three more books–but that’s all right, the Lord will help me. And a little fear is a good thing for a storyteller.

  1. We sing this regularly in one of my church organizations, except that we sing “Alleluiah” rather than “Praise Him, Praise Him” in the refrain. I always feel so uplifted by this hymn.

Lee, I’m thrilled for you that you’ve discovered three new books to write.

  2. You are a little daunted with your tasks of writing three books, a book review (and probably others I don’t know about), the posts you make each day, reading and responding to your reader’s comments, and all the other daily necessities required, yes, that truly is an extremely daunting task, I believe very few could do. Certainly not me. Consider just one aspect of your daily time spent doing a book review, time spent reading it, and putting a great deal of time into writing a review! Thank you so much for all your efforts. I don’t make comments on many of your posts, and there have only been a few, I might not agree with, and almost every one of them, I can say a hearty AMEN, you got it right brother!

I for one, really appreciate the fact, that you are one of only a few I know, who read the comments of their readers and take the time to respond. Thank you so very much!

    1. Mike, those comments mean a lot to me–so of course I read them. Sometimes I rein in my responses so as not to detract from the reader’s comment.
