I feel a need for this particular hymn this morning–Shall We Gather At the River?, sung by Tennessee Ernie Ford. Gather with the saints at the river… Yes, I want to be there for that.

Such a simple song but such strong sentiment. I like the Bible verses about Jesus baptized more than John, yet not Jesus but His disciples. I can imagine the smile of approval on Jesus’ face.
