I wish this hymn were longer! It’s one of my favorites from way back–Bringing in the Sheaves, sung here by Tennessee Ernie Ford. I wonder how many times we sang this in Sunday school before we knew what sheaves are.

The first time I heard this hymn, in my youth, I thought it was about bringing in the sheep!

Wonderful hymn. Erlene, you are also in our prayers each day.
Thank you so much for your prayers. There is nothing I desire more for my healing and comfort.
I wanted to talk about Mt. 27: 52-53 today; but I’m so dispirited by those orcs out there sawing down all the trees, I just don’t feel like doing anything. Nowhere for me to sit and write anymore. (Yes, they’re still out there with their accursed machines.)
